CHINE INTRODUCES STANDARDİZED LOGO FOR E-GOVERNMENT WEB SİTES

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has started a work of a standardised government web site logo. The aim of tihs project is to identify government web sites easily and distinguish them from non-government sites. It is also expected to help discover and prevent use of fake web sites that look alike government sites. It will also protect government sites in perspective, seriousness and authority. Official statistics last year showed that there were 54.974 web sites in China with ‘gov.cn’ domain names.

KOREA RELAUNCHES GOVERNMENT NETWORKING WEBSITE IN ENGLISH

Seoul Metropolitan Government launched the English version of we-gov.org for social networking of the ‘World e-Governments Organisation of Cities and Local Governments’ (WeGO)  which is an international organization with the goal of sharing exemplary cases of e-governments between international cities and closing the information gap.

The website is designed to enable cities to share and exchange exemplary cases of e-governments and to communicate with citizens who have an interest in building e-governments. The newly launched WeGo English website is a social networking homepage designed to expedite communication with the leaders of e-governments in cities worldwide.

UK PUBLISHES NEW GOVT ICT STRATEGY DOCUMENT

The UK Cabinet Office has published details of its plans in a new Government ICT Strategy document which aims to improve and open up public service delivery by supporting online transactional services for citizens and businesses, and create channels for collaboration and policy debate.

SRILANKA LAUNCHES E-PASSPORT SERVICES

The Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka is planning to introduce biometric passport system within the year to increase travel document security and personal identity protections. Experts from Australia and Hong Kong are preparing feasibility reports on implementing biometric passports. Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand are among the Southeast Asian countries that have started issuing e-passports. The use of e-passports, or biometric passports by 2015, is mandatory for member countries of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

SINGAPORE CONSOLIDATES GOVT BILLS ONLINE

Singapore’s Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) is planning to launch a secure e-mail system allowing citizens to receive correspondences from various government agencies online.

The secure digital mailbox dubbed OneInbox aims to make tracking of bills and statement from different government agencies–from tax statements to TV license renewals and service and conservancy bills—convenient for the citizens. Individuals will be able to access OneInbox through the eCitizen portal (www.ecitizen.gov.sg) using their SingPass.

The proposed features for OneInbox includes SMS alerts to notify the arrival of correspondences in OneInbox; forwarding to preferred email account(s); save a local copy or print friendly version of correspondences and online archival or retention of correspondences. The service will be launched by 2012. The government said it expects about 250,000 citizens to be on OneInbox in the first year, doubling to 500,000 in the second year, and increasing to 800,000 in the third.

E-DEVLET DÜNYASINDAN HABERLER  (07 Nisan) [TR]

ÇİN, E-DEVLET SİTELERİ İÇİN STANDART LOGO UYGULAMASINA BAŞLAYACAK

Çin bilgi Teknolojileri ve Endüstri Bakanlığı, devlet web siteleri için standart logo çalışması başlattı. Bu projenin amacı, devlet web sitelerini kolayca anlayabilmek ve devlet sitesi olmayan sayfalardan ayırdedebilmek. Bu çalışma devlet sitelerine benzetilmiş sahte web sitelerinin de tespitine ve kullanımının önlenmesine yardımcı olacak.  Ayrıca, devlet sitelerinie ciddiyet ve yetkilendirilme anlamında koruma sağlayacak. Geçen yıl yapılan resmi istatistikler, Çinde ‘gov.cn’ uzantılı 54.974 web sitesi olduğunu göstermiştir.

KORE E-DEVLET AĞ WEB SİTESİNİN İNGİLİZCE VERSİYONUNU KULLANIMA AÇTI

Seul Metropolitan Yönetimi, ‘Dünya Şehir ve Yerel Yönetimler e-Devletler Organizasyonu’ WeGO’nun  sosyal ağı  olarak çalışan ‘we-gov.org’ sitesinin İngilizce versiyonunu hazırladı. WeGO, bilgi açığını kapatma amaçlı olarak uluslararası şehirler arasında e-devlet örnek çalışmalarını paylaşmaya yönelik uluslararası bir organizasyondur.

Şehirlerin e-devlet örnek çalışmalarını paylaşmalarını sağlamak üzere tasarlanan bu web sitesi, ayrıca e-devlet projelerine ilgi duyan vatandaşlar ile de iletişim kurmayı amaçlıyor. İngilizce verysiyonu yeni kullanıma açılan bu sosyal ağ sitesinin giriş sayfası, dünya üzerindeli e-devlet liderlerinin iletişimini kolaylaştıracak şekilde hazırlandı.

UK YENİ ICT STRATEJİ DOKÜMANINI YAYINLADI

UK hükümeti, yeni devlet ICT Strateji Dokümanının detaylarını yayınladı. Bu dokümanın amacı, vatandaşlar ve iş dünyası için çevrimiçi servisleri destekleyerek kamu servislerinde iyileştirme ve geliştirme sağlamak, ayrıca görüşme ve işbirliği için kanallar oluşturmayı hedeflemektir.

SRI LANKA E-PASAPORT SERVİSİNİ AÇIYOR

Sri Lanka Göç Dairesi, kişisel kimlik belgesini koruma ve seyahat doküman güvenliğini arttırmak amacı ile bir yıl içerisinde biyometrik pasaport sistemini kullanmayı planlıyor. Avustralya ve Hongkong’dan uzmanlar, biyometrik pasaport uygulamasına ilişkin fizibilite raporunu hazırlıyorlar. Güney Asya ülkelerinden Singapur, Malezya ve Tayland e-pasaport uygulamasını başlatmış durumda. 2015 yılına kadar, Uluslararası Sicil Havacılık Örgütü’ne üye ülkelerde  e-pasaport veya biyometrik pasaport uygulamasına geçiş zorunlu kılınmış durumda.

SINGAPOUR, DEVLET İLE HABERLEŞMEDE GÜVENLİ E-POSTA SİSTEMİ KURMAYI PLANLIYOR

Bireyler vatandaş portalı (www.ecitizen.gov.sg) üzerinden OneInbox sistemine erişebilecek. Sistemin SMS mesajları ile kutuya bir doküman ulaştığını haberdar etme, tercih edilen bir başka e-posta kutusuna gelen dokümanı yönlendirme, yerel bir kopyasını oluşturma ya da çıktı alma ve çevrimiçi arşivleme gibi özellikleri bulunacak. Servis 2012 yılında kullanıma açılacak. Hükümet, ilk yıl 250.000 vatandaş tarafından kullanacağını öngördüğü bu sistemin sonraki yıl 500.000 ve akabindeki yıl 800.000 vatandaşa yaygınlaşacağını tahmin ediyor.
